Following the RSA brief of Wearing Intelligence 2.0 in 2018, I designed the Baby Breathe Clean baby seat cover for filtering polluted air. This cover acts as a filter for babies where they cannot wear a pollution mask. The cover is fitted with an activated carbon filter between two layers of cotton, this filter filters PM2.5 particles which are pollution particles small enough to get into the lungs.
The cover is designed for use in big cities with high pollution, the filters are to be changed every 30 days in order to still filter the air. The filter can be changed by unzipping the cotton cover and removing the filter; the filter can then be recycled and used in waste water drainage. The consumer will gain rewards for recycling through the scheme which will then go towards new filters.
